Volkshaus, Zürich May 1974 concert poster

Original first printing concert poster advertising Canadian-American jazz-rock group Blood, Sweat and Tears at the Volkshaus in Zürich [Switzerland] on Sunday, 12th May, 1974, presented by Good News. BS&T were touring Europe in support of the No Sweat album. Recorded at Electric Lady Studios in New York City and Trident Studios in London, and produced by Steve Tyrell, No Sweat was released in August 1973 by Columbia Records. By the time of the tour, guitarist Steve Katz, one of the founding members of BS&T had left the band to work with Lou Reed. The poster features striking artwork by Swiss artist Peter Blumer.

Printed by Walter Sprüngli, Villmergen, with the printer’s imprint to the center of the bottom border. The poster measures 24.6 x 63.8 cm (approx. 9.7″ by 25.1″ inches) and is beautifully printed on thin, coated paper stock (coated on front only). In excellent unfolded and unmarked condition.
