Shibuya Public Hall, Tokyo April 1982 concert poster

Original first printing concert poster advertising English singer-songwriter and guitarist Joan Armatrading (1950) at the Shibuya Public Hall in Tokyo [Japan] on Tuesday, 13th April, 1982, presented by Seijiru Udo’s UDO Artists. Armatrading was touring Japan in support of the Walk Under Ladders album – her seventh studio album, produced by Steve Lillywhite, and released on 4th September, 1981 on A&M Records. Containing the singles “I’m Lucky” and “No Love”, the album peaked at #6 on the UK Albums Chart and was certified Gold by the British Phonographic Industry for sales in excess of 100,00 copies. Thomas Dolby plays most of the synthesizer parts on the album and Andy Partridge of XTC provides guitar on two tracks on the album.

The poster measures 51.3 x 72.8 cm (approx. 20.2″ by 28.6″ inches) and is beautifully printed on thin, coated paper stock. In remarkably near excellent unfolded condition.
