Deutsches Museum, Munich April 1980 concert poster (A0) (Günther Kieser)

Large original first printing concert poster advertising the American Folk Blues Festival at the Deutsches Museum in Munich [Germany] on Saturday, 19th April, 1980, presented by Lippmann+Rau. After an eight-year hiatus the festival was revived in 1980 with an ensemble that featured Louisiana Red, Sunnyland Slim, Willie Mabon, Carey Bell, Hubert Sumlin, Eddie Taylor, Bob Stroger, Odie Payne, Eunice Davis, and Washboard Doc.  The poster features striking artwork by Günther Kieser, with the artist’s imprint to the center of the left side border.

The poster measures 84.2 x 118.5 cm (approx. 33.1″ by 46.7″ inches) and is beautifully printed on thin, uncoated paper stock. The poster has been neatly folded, else in excellent unmarked condition. Additional photos available on request.
