Stadion, Pforzheim September 1978 concert poster

Original first printing concert poster advertising the “Open Air Festival ’78” staged at the Stadion in Pforzheim [Germany] on Saturday, 9th September, 1978, presented by Konzertbüro Maack/Enchelmaier by arrangement with MAMA Concerts. This is an extremely rare early draft with only a few confirmed names. AC/DC eventually had to cancel their engagement as they were busy touring the US in support of the Powerage album. The final bill for the festival featured Status Quo, Uriah Heep, Wishbone Ash, Climax Blues Band, No Dice, Jane, David Coverdale, and Atlanta Rhythm Section.

The poster measures 59.2 x 83.7 cm and is printed on thin, uncoated paper stock. A couple of tiny rips to the upper left side border, else in near excellent unfolded condition. Feel free to email us with any questions you may have concerning this item. Additional images of the poster available on request.
