Stadiongelände, Ludwigsburg August 1975 concert poster (Mohr+Pohl)
Original first printing concert poster advertising “A Golden Summer Night Concert” staged at the Stadiongelände in Ludwigsburg [Germany] on Saturday, 16th August, 1975, presented by Sunrise Concertbüro. Performing artists included Wishbone Ash, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Lou Reed, Nektar, Soft Machine, Renaissance, Caravan, Climax Blues Band, and the Ozark Mountain Daredevils. Event moderator was legendary American disc jockey Wolfman Jack. By this time, Lou Reed had just released his fifth studio album, Metal Machine Music, while headliners Wishbone Ash were touring in support of the There’s the Rub album. Soft Machine had released their Bundles album in March, and the Mahavishnu Orchestra had recorded Visions of the Emerald Beyond at Electric Lady Studios in New York City. The poster features artwork by Mohr+Pohl, with the artists’ imprint to the bottom left corner.
