Freiheitshalle, Hof January 1978 concert poster

Large original first printing concert poster advertising British rock group Uriah Heep at the Freiheitshalle in Hof [Germany] on Saturday, 21st January, 1978, presented by Marek Lieberberg and Marcel Avram’s MAMA Concerts. The show in Hof was part of Uriah Heep’s German tour during January in support of the Innocent Victim album – their eleventh studio album, produced by Ken Hensley and Gerry Bron, and released in November 1977 on Bronze Records. It was the second Uriah Heep album to feature new vocalist John Lawton, replacing David Byron for the recording of the Firefly album. Although the album failed to chart in the US or UK, Innocent Victim was highly successful in Europe, selling well over 1 million copies in Germany alone. The single “Free Me”, written by Ken Hensley, was a #1 hit in New Zealand.

The poster measures 59.0 x 83.7 cm (approx. 23.2″ by 33″ inches) and is beautifully printed on thin, smooth-finish uncoated paper stock. Neatly folded thrice, else in excellent condition. Feel free to email us with any questions you may have concerning this item. Additional images of the poster available on request.
