1973 Japanese CBS/Sony Inc. promo poster for “Head to the Sky”
Large original first printing Earth, Wind & Fire promotional poster issued by CBS/Sony Inc. in Japan in 1973 to promote the release of the Head to the Sky album – the band’s only fourth studio album, produced by Joseph Wissert, and released in May 1973 on Columbia Records. Containing the hit singles “Evil” and “Head to the Sky”, the album reached #27 on the Billboard 200. It was certified Platinum by the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) for selling over 1,000,000 certified units. The poster was for promotional purposes only, and was never made commercially available.
