Grugahalle, Essen June 1981 concert poster
Original first printing concert poster advertising British rock group Rainbow at the Grugahalle in Essen [Germany] on Wednesday, 10th June, 1981, in support of the Difficult to Cure album, and with Def Leppard as special guests. Recorded at Sweet Silence Studios in Copenhagen and produced by Roger Glover, Difficult to Cure was the band’s fifth studio album, and the first to feature American singer Joe Lynn Turner, replacing Graham Bonnet who had left the band well into the recording of the album due to his dissatisfaction over the material.
The poster measures 59.8 x 83.7 cm (approx. 23.5″ by 33″ inches) and is beautifully printed on thin, coated paper stock.
