Eilenriedestadion, Hannover July 1973 concert poster
Original first printing concert poster advertising the “A Golden Summer Night Tattoo” festival staged at the Eilenriedestadion in Hannover [Germany] on Saturday, 14th July, 1973, presented by S.I.P. (Sounds International Production). Performing artists included John B. Sebastian, Spencer Davis Group, Canned Heat, Jon Hiseman’s Tempest, Fairport Convention, Vinegar Joe, Eric Burdon, and Jimmy Witherspoon. The poster features artwork by Werner Mempel, with the artist’s imprint to the bottom right corner.
The poster measures exactly 59.4 x 83.9 cm (approx. 23.4″ by 33″ inches) and is beautifully printed on thin, coated paper stock. Faint discoloration to the upper left side border and light surface handling wear, else in near excellent unfolded condition.
