Markthalle, Hamburg May 1979 concert poster
Original first printing concert poster advertising American singer Iggy Pop at the Markthalle in Hamburg [Germany] on Saturday, 26th May, 1979, with the Human League as special guests. The concert in Hamburg was part of Iggy’s tour of continental Europe during May in support of the New Values album. Recorded at Paramount Recording Studios in Hollywood and produced by guitarist James Williamson, the album was released in April 1979 by Arista Records. It was Iggy’s third studio album, and his first for Arista. Although well-received critically, the album was not a commercial success, peaking at a modest #180 on the Billboard 200.
