Yubin Chokin Kaikan, Tokyo May/June 1978 concert poster
Original first printing concert poster advertising American jazz drummer and band leader Max Roach at the Yubin Chokin Kaikan in Tokyo [Japan] on Wednesday, 10th May and Thursday, 1st June, 1978, accompanied by trumpeter Cecil Bridgewater, saxophonist Billy Harper, and double bassist Reggie Workman. With this same line-up, the Live in Tokyo Vol. 1 album was recorded at this venue on 21st January, 1977. Produced by Tsutomu Ueno and Yoshiharu Kawaguchi, the album was released on the Denon Jazz label in 1981.
The poster measures 51.2 x 72.8 cm (approx. 20.1″ x 28.6″ inches) and is beautifully printed on thin, coated paper stock. Light edge wear to the upper right side border and light overall surface handling wear, else in near excellent unfolded condition.
