Original used concert ticket for Count Basie’s performance at the Sportpalast in Berlin [Germany] on Monday, 30th April, 1962, presented by Wolfgang Jänicke. The orchestra at the time featured saxophonists Marshal Royal, Frank Wess, Frank Foster, Charlie Cohn, and Charlie Fowlkes; trumpeters Eugene Young, Eric Dixon, Albert Aarons, and Thad Jones; trombonists Henry Coker, Benny Powell, and Quentin Jackson; guitarist Freddie Green; bassist Eddie Jones; drummer Sonny Payne; and singers Olie Smith and Irene Reid.
