Arènes de Nimes, Nimes July 1985 concert poster
Large original first printing concert poster advertising the Nimes Jazz Festival staged af the Arènes de Nimes in Nimes [France] from 15th to 20th July, 1985, presented by André Malroux. Performing artists included the Henri Texier Quartet, Ray Charles, Stephs Ahead, Fats Domino, the Jackie McLean Sextet, Miles Davis, and Joe Williams with the Count Basie Orchestra. The poster features artwork by Alain Margotton, with the artist’s imprint to the lower left side.
The poster measures 61.9 x 92.8 cm (approx. 24.4″ by 36.5″ inches) and is beautifully printed on thick, glossy paper stock. There is a tiny pin hole to each corner and a stain to the upper right side border, else in near excellent unfolded condition.
