January/February 1972 UK concert tour program
Original vintage concert program produced for American pianist, composer and arranger Stan Kenton’s Jan/Feb 1972 British tour, presented by Harold Davison on behalf of M.A.M. Ltd. and in association with Norman Granz. This was Kenton’s only third British tour, with the first two coming in 1956 and 1963. The program has been authentically signed inside by Stan Kenton; trombonists Dick Shearer, Phil Herring, Fred Carter, Mike Wallace; saxophonists Richard Torres, Willie Maiden, Chuck Carter; trumpeters Joe Marcinkiewicz, Mike Vax, Ray Brown; percussionist Ramon Lopez, and drummer John van Ohlen.
In original orange and black pictorial wrappers, staple bound, 20.8 x 25.7 cm, 20 pp. Program notes by Benny Green. Light wear to spine and extremities, else in near excellent condition, tightly bound and clean. Additional photos available on request.
