Tonhalle, Düsseldorf August 1980 concert poster

Original first printing concert poster advertising Canadian jazz pianist and composer Oscar Peterson (1925–2007) at the Tonhalle in Düsseldorf [Germany] on Sunday, 24th August, 1980, presented by SABA, and presumably accompanied by guitarist Joe Pass and double bassist Niels-Henning Ørsted Pederseen. Called the “Maharaja of the keyboard” by Duke Ellington, Oscar Peterson released over 200 recordings and won eight Grammy Awards in a career lasting more than 60 years.

The poster measures 83.8 x 59.3 cm (approx. 33″ by 23.3″ inches) and is beautifully printed on thin coated paper stock.
