October/November 1959 European concert tour program (Michel+Kieser)
Original vintage concert program for American jazz combo the Modern Jazz Quartet’s November 1959 German tour, presented by Horst Lippmann and Fritz Rau in association with Norman Granz. The program has been authentically signed by all for members — vibraharpist Milt Jackson, pianist John Lewis, bassist Percy Heath, drummer Connie Kay — immediately above their respective photos. The program features striking artwork by noted graphic duo, Hans Michel and Günther Kieser.
In original pictorial coated wrappers, perfect bound, 27.5 x 26.0 cm, 30 pp. Bilingual edition with text in both German and English. Light wear to spine and extremities, else in excellent condition, tightly bound and clean. Additional photos available on request.
