Royal Festival Hall/Hammersmith Odeon October 1968 concert program

Original vintage program book for the Jazz Expo ’68 event which took place at the Royal Festival Hall in London and at the Odeon Theatre in Hammersmith from 19th to 26th October, 1968. Billed as “The Newport Jazz Festival in London” and presented by Harold Davison, George Wein and Jack Higgins, the performing artists included Dave Brubeck, Gerry Mulligan, Dizzy Gillespie, Art Blakey, Slide Hampton, Elvin Jones, Max Roach, Horace Silver, Muddy Waters, Gary Burton, John Lee Hooker, Big Joe Williams, T-Bone Walker, Earl Hines, Count Basie, and many more.

In original orange and black uncoated pictorial wrappers, staple bound, 21.0 x 25.6 cm, 40 pp. Program notes by Benny Green. Wrappers slightly rubbed with light wear to spine and extremities, else tightly bound and clean. Additional photos available on request.
