Salle Pleyel, Paris February 1956 concert program
Large vintage original concert program for Norman Granz’ Jazz At The Philharmonic at the famous Salle Pleyel in Paris [France] on Sunday, 26th February, 1956. Performing artists included Ella Fitzgerald, Oscar Peterson, Dizzy Gillespie, Roy Eldridge, Flip Phillips, Illinois Jacquet, Gene Krupa, Ray Brown, and Herb Ellis. The program has been authentically signed by the great Dizzy Gillespie next to his photo on page 11. A very uncommon pieces of original 1950’s European JATP concert memorabilia.
In original purple and black uncoated pictorial wrappers, staple bound, 24.0 x 31.4 cm, 24 pp. All text in French. The program shows clear signs of handling wear and there is a 6 inch seam split to the front wrapper (bottom). Additional photos available on request.
