Original vintage concert program for Ray Charles’ April 1967 European tour, presented by Norman Granz in association with Lippmann+Rau. This was around the time of the release of Ray Charles Invites You to Listen, described by biographer Mike Evans as “one of the most remarkable recordings of his career”. The Raelettes consisted of Gwendolyn Berry, Merry Clayton, Clydie King, and Alexandra Brown, while the orchestra featured William King, Marshall Hunt, Walter Miller, and Carl Adams (trumpets); Henry Coker, Fred Murrell, Donald Cooke, and Frederic Johnson (trombones); Joe Roccisan, Curtis Amy, Curtis Peagler, Shellie Thomas, and Leroy Cooper (saxes), Lionel (Billy) Moore (drums); Barry Rilera (guitar); and Edgar Willis (bass). Original ticket stub for the concert at the Sportpalast in Berlin on Wednesday, 3rd May, stuck to the inside of the front wrapper. Program artwork and design by Günther Kieser.

In original pictorial matte-coated wrappers, staple bound, 27.6 x 25.6 cm, 16 pp. Program notes in English. One sheet with program notes translated into German, laid in. In excellent condition, tightly bound and clean. Additional photos available on request.
