1974 Japanese Warner-Pioneer Corporation promo poster

Original first printing Deep Purple promotional poster issued by Warner-Pioneer Corporation in Japan in 1974 to promote the release of the Stormbringer album – the band’s ninth studio album (the second to feature the Mk III line-up), produced by Martin Birch, and released on 8th November, 1974. Ritchie Blackmore left Deep Purple following Stormbringer and its subsequent tour, publicly citing his dislike for the funky direction the band was taking. The poster features a photo by Fin Costello of the band at Clearwell Castle in Gloucestershire, where they worked on the songs for Stormbringer. The poster was for promotional purposes only, and was never made commercially available.

The poster measures 72.7 x 51.4 cm (approx. 28.6″ by 20.2″ inches) and is beautifully printed on thin, coated paper stock. In excellent unfolded condition, clean and unmarked. Feel free to email us with any questions you may have concerning this item. Additional images of the poster available on request.
